First of all, laser die cutting is a kind of die cutting for printing molds, electronics, toys, plastic absorption and other products to obtain many final products consistent with the design files. The earliest knife molds were made by hand. Cut the knife on the wooden board with a drama bed, and then install the knife. About 15 years ago, China had a laser knife seam, and then installed a knife, and the laser die cutting began. So far, laser die cutting has become popular, and manual die cutting will be eliminated and withdraw from the historical stage.

The laser die cutting industry is mainly used for cutting multi-layer plywood, generally using 15 layers of plywood (or PVC plywood, plexiglass, steel plate and other materials) plane cutting. After cutting out the tailoring that is consistent with the pattern in the design file, the board tailoring (commonly known as industry knife seam) requires the most basic requirements.

1. The cutting joint must be vertical

If the cutting joint is not vertical, the steel knife line is not vertical after installation. If it is not vertical, the molding size after the tool is installed will be inconsistent with the size of the equipment pattern, which is called in the industry. Because the tolerance is too large, the mold is unqualified. In addition, the cutting joint is not vertical, and the cutting line is not vertical after installation. When the mold is cut and compressed, the cutting line is deformed by vertical pressure and curled and damaged. The better the verticality, the better the precision and durability of the mold.


2. The cutting seam width of the cutting knife must be the same

Due to the international standard thickness of the steel cutting line, the cutting seam must have a certain width, and the width of the cutting seam cannot be too narrow or too wide because the thickness of the loaded cutting line is the same. If it is too wide, the cutting line cannot be fixed. If it is too narrow, it is difficult to install the cutting line. Forced loading will be very laborious, resulting in horizontal squeezing of the sheet. The final size of the bare board and the circuit board will also change.

Including the surface slit and the back slit, the width of the slit should be the same. If the upper width and the lower width are not appropriate, the plate will bend and deform after the tangent is installed, and the final mold size will be deformed. The mold is scrapped.


3. Accurate cutting size

When the above two aspects may meet the standards, it is a problem of cutting size accuracy, which involves the motion accuracy, coordinate positioning accuracy and repeat positioning accuracy of the machine tool. At present, the mold cutting industry has higher and higher requirements for the accuracy and size of laser molds. The allowable error of general printing molds is 0.15-0.2mm, the allowable error of printed products and blister molds is 0.1-0. Printing die and leather die are made of plexiglass plates, and the allowable error is no more than 0.1mm. The electronic knife model is higher, and the error is generally required to be around 0, so the accuracy requirements of the machine tool cannot be ambiguous.

The above three basic requirements are the main requirements of the mold industry for laser cutting machines. These three requirements are relatively independent and related. Under the premise of ensuring the accuracy of the machine tool, inconsistent cutting seam width will lead to low final accuracy, and non-vertical cutting seams will also lead to low accuracy. However, if the width of the longitudinal cutting seam and the cutting seam is well controlled, if the machine tool is inaccurate, it will eventually lead to unqualified molds, or only some unnecessary molds can be made. The knife mold does not need a common feature, that is, the supply is large. Because there are many people, the price must be very low (low requirements, natural low prices).

Therefore, the laser cutting machine required by the mold industry has its own unique requirements. Not only the board must be cut, but also the width of the joint must be cut. The joint width should be consistent, the joint should be vertical, and the machine tool accuracy should not be blurred.
