Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel is easier to obtain deep-melting narrow welds due to its low thermal conductivity, high energy absorption rate and melting power.


Almost all thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers can be welded with laser technology. Commonly used welding materials include PP, PS, PC, ABS, polyamide, PMMA, polyoxymethylene, PET and PBT.

Laser welding technology has entered the field of powder metallurgy material processing with its unique advantages, opening up new prospects for the application of powder metallurgy materials. For example, brazing, which is commonly used in the connection of powder metallurgy materials, is used to weld diamond. Due to its low bonding strength and wide heat-affected zone, it cannot adapt to high temperatures and high strength requirements, which causes the brazing material to melt and fall off. Laser welding can improve welding strength and high temperature resistance.
