What is laser speckle? When the laser is emitted from the surface of a scatterer or passes through a transparent scatterer (such as frosted glass), an irregularly distributed bright and dark spot can be observed on the scattering surface or the light field near it, which is the laser scattering spot or pattern.
The discussion about laserspeckle involves two concepts:
What is speckle? Due to the high correlation of lasers, the speckle phenomenon is more obvious in the optical imaging process.
What is laser speckle? When the laser self-scatters the surface of a scatterer or passes through a transparent scatterer (such as frosted glass), an irregularly distributed bright and dark spot can be observed on the light field on or near the scattering surface, namely the laser scattering spot or speckle.
Current solutions to the laser speckle problem:
Method 2: Screen vibration interference
Use a low-noise vibration motor to vibrate the screen to remove granular spots under high-intensity light sources, so that the image reflected from the movie screen has natural, rich colors, uniform brightness, and clear pictures.
Features: The photoelectric conversion efficiency of the laser light source is high, the heat dissipation requirements of the laser component are low, the screen vibration mechanism adopts a mechanical device, and the maintenance is intuitive and easy.
Method 1: Laser wave interference method
Because its main influencing factor is that in the green light (green light) wavelength environment, the green light wavelength is disturbed to decompose the continuous wavelength of green light to remove speckle.
Features: Currently, it is still in the stage of outputting experimental results. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of the multi-wavelength green laser module is extremely low, the heat energy is high, and the risk of thermal fatigue of the device caused by poor heat dissipation is relatively high. Generally speaking, for a 21-meter large screen display, the power of its multi-wavelength green laser projector can reach 12,000 watts.
