For example, the performance of paper face paper, adhesive and backing paper is different, and the die-cutting characteristics of various self-adhesive materials are also different. 1. Types of surface materials

Surface materials can be divided into two types: paper and film. The cutting principle of general paper is slightly different from that of film materials. When die-cutting, the paper surface and the adhesive must be cut through together. Paper die-cutting materials are the combined result of tool cutting and paper force. When the blade cuts downward, the two sides of the paper must be squeezed, so the die-cutting accuracy of the paper material is not high. When analyzing the samples, it is found that some labels have burrs. This is a phenomenon caused by the coarse fiber of the material and the natural breakage.

2. Strength of surface material

The surface roughness is related to the thickness of the surface material, the fiber (polymer) structure and its own humidity. In the die-cutting process of self-adhesive materials, the waste discharge rate has the greatest impact on the surface material. The higher the temperature, the weaker the strength of the material after being damp, and it is easy to be pulled apart, or even unable to discharge waste. When typesetting, the label typesetting size and typesetting speed should be reasonably arranged according to the strength of the material.

3. Thickness of surface material

The thickness of the material directly affects the depth of die-cutting. The thicker the material, the easier it is to die-cut. Relatively speaking, thin materials are prone to cutting through the base paper. Put 80g/m2 and 60g/m2 on the same flat-bed label die-cutting machine, and cut them into the same surface material by die. Conclusion The die-cutting waste discharge of 80g/m2 material is normal, but the 60g/m2 material often breaks during the die-cutting process. The cutting and label dropping of the base paper are very serious, resulting in a lot of waste. If you use precision equipment such as laser die-cutting machines, you can reduce or avoid such phenomena.
