Laser technology enables efficient application of sandpaper grinding

Sandpaper is a common grinding auxiliary material in daily production and life. It is widely used in many fields such as automobiles, furniture, woodworking, sheet metal, etc. It is an indispensable processing tool for material surface grinding, cleaning, and repair.

Sandpaper and grinding products produced by modern enterprises have complex and correct subdivisions according to the properties of the material of the processing object, processing methods and purposes, processing efficiency and other factors.

So, why is CO2 laser cutting related to cleaning sandpaper/sand discs? The knowledge lies in the tiny holes on the sandpaper.

Sandpaper/sand discs are generally composed of the back of a composite material and the grinding surface composed of a hard abrasive material. The high-energy beam formed by the focusing of the CO2 laser can cut these two materials efficiently and contactlessly. There is no tool wear during processing, and there is no need to produce molds independently according to the size and hole type of the processing object. It does not affect the physical properties of the lining material, causing the grinding material on the grinding surface to peel off, which is an ideal processing method.

In the actual production process, according to the properties of the lining and abrasive and different processing efficiency requirements, a 300W~800W CO2 laser with a wavelength of 10.6m is selected, combined with an efficient large-surface three-dimensional dynamic focusing vibrator to achieve continuous feeding processing.
