How to customize your favorite pattern with laser cutting

 Today we will introduce how to use laser to customize the cut of your favorite group. This case is very suitable for beginners who are learning laser cutting and can be used as a guide. Laser cutting is an ideal way to customize plastic and laser shell materials. All you need to do is draw your favorite pattern on the computer. The pattern production must be a vector-based pattern material. Through laser cutting, you can get a very clean and complex design. Through laser cutting, you can customize any text or logo you want. When you have designed the group, it becomes very easy to copy it to the device software.

Today we will teach you how to make a computer case pattern. First, I need a software for making vector graphics, a plexiglass panel, a 1/16-inch acrylic plastic and some glue.

The first vector graphics software I used was Illustrator, which you can use to draw by hand first and then convert to vector graphics. Vector files create images using lines and shapes based on mathematical expressions. In this way, all the artwork in the document is structured in a way that only describes how the vector should be drawn/cut. This is all done so that your image can be read by any machine used for cutting.

3. Convert the image to black and white (makes it easier for your software to use)

4. Use the tracing function in your software to convert the image to vector lines. Some programs have the ability to adjust the sensitivity. (Play with the sensitivity until you get the result you want.

5. Retouch your vector art until it's perfect. (Remove extra lines and clean up curves)
